So, I had to run a quick errand outside the city. Now it's two weeks later, and I'm finally back in my home.

I didn't have enough time to finish the already long delayed Q3 mini report, so that'll have to wait until next week. Hell, I'm happy enough just sending this one out.

Go Godot Jam 2: 10 Days, 20 Hours left

Go Godot Jam's events have been going on for two weeks already (you can check the whole list here), but the game jam just started a day ago.

The event already has 795 participants, and the theme is "Energy Source".

Now, in case you're not familiar with GoGodotJam as a whole, this second event is running a fundraiser alongside the events. It already generated some $2,320, and the money will be divided as follows:

  • 50% -> The Official Godot Team (Currently $1,160)
  • 40% -> The Event Organizers and Content Creators (Currently $928)
  • 10% -> The Prize Pool! (Currently $232)

To support the fundraiser you can buy one of the three packs they have on Itch:

Or you can buy the official Merch and add a tip to your purchase. Those tips will be split 50% to Godot, 25% to the Event Hosts and 25% to GoGodotJam Organizing

💰 $100,000 donation from OP Games

Op Games, an NFTs company (😬),  has donated $300,000 to four Open Source projects: Phaser, Defold, Blender, and Godot.

$100K went Godot's way, which is great, regardless of what I think about the company making the donation.
Gamefromscratch published a video talking about the donation and the NFTs business.
